Printed Labels for Histology and Research

EIMINC makes printed labels with or without bar codes for the different areas of your facility. Preprinted labels are an easy way to improve study and sample management. By including bar codes, you can track studies through the lab.

Container Labels
We can supply labels that work with varied size tissue containers. These label can contain bar codes and text or both.

Paraffin Block Labels
After tissue processing, you can continue to track the study through to microtoming by labeling the cassettes. Paraffin blocks are best labeled before imbedding the specimen in paraffin. If you must label afterward call for label samples to test. The labels can have bar codes, sequential numbers or any information you specify.

Slide Labels
At microtoming, you can label the slides. In most cases, this will be the last labeling that you do in the study. Processing the slides exposes the labels to lab chemicals including xylene and alcohols. These labels need to be tough. When we print labels for you, we use xylene resistant adhesives and ribbons specially designed for this purpose. Slide labels are available in different colors if color coding is desired. Labels that contain the information that you need
Facility name, year, sequenced study number, sequenced slide number (for multiple slides per study) are examples of some of the information that we can put on the label for you. White labels and transparent clear labels are available with red, black and blue inks. We can combine colors to give you black bar code and a blue facility name. If you need a bar code to tie into your information system, EIMINC will work with you to get the right bar code on the labels.
